Irma Jean Price

Irma was born and raised in the Beckley area of Raleigh County, WV. She graduated from Marsh Fork High School in 1945. She married Joseph Lewis Price and started raising their children in Raleigh County. In 1963 they moved to Putnam County WV. and then to St. Albans, WV. where Irma lived for 30 years. She then moved to New Port Richey, FL in 1997. Irma lived her life taking care of others. Her great joy was caring for her family. She worked in the medical field as a young adult, was a Girl Scout leader, and did volunteer work for the Red Cross for many years. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and reading. Irma is survived by daughter, Vickie Price Leighton of New Port Richey, FL., formerly of Hurricane, WV. sons; James and wife Deborah Price of Stuart, FL., Terrance Price of New Port Richey FL. Grandchildren; Lana Leighton McCormick and husband Brian of Buffalo, WV., Robert Leighton of Buffalo WV, Craig Leighton and wife Catherine of St.Albans WV, Mallory Price Sevilla and husband Mike of Stuart, FL. Nine great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Sisters; Iris Zieman, Joyce Carter, and Sue Purvis. She was preceded in death by her babies, Charles Price and Lana Price. Husband, Joseph Lewis Price. Parents, Fred DeHart and Ethel Bailey DeHart. Brothers; Fred DeHart Jr and Brian DeHart. Sisters; Mary Dominion and Margaret (Frankie) Baker.
