Joey gave Kindness and Love a new meaning, I never met anyone that had more love to share with others than him. I have wonderful and heartwarming memories of him. His laugh was infectious, his smile came straight from his heart. He will always be loved and remembered! Dear Gina and Rachel,
the most precious gift I ever received in my life came from your father.  The first I received 9 months and 4 days after I married Daddy and the second was 9 months and 4 days after he returned from Viet Nam.   Although things did not turn out the way Daddy and I would have liked them too,  One thing I am sure of is that the two of you did.   I am very proud of the two women you have become, and in my hearts of hearts I know your father was extremely proud also.   I would have never believed that I would have felt such a great loss of him when Rachel gave me that call.   He was a kind and gentle soul, with a large and warm heart.   He will be greatly missed by his children and grandchildren.    Love and Light Mommy.

Dear Daddy,
Since the moment of the horrible news of your death, my mind has been flooded with memories of you. 43 years of memories, as there has not been one second of my life that you haven't been in. I can't sleep. I can't eat. I have been listening to your sweet voice in the countless messages on my answering machine telling me how much you love me and can't wait to see me. I did not know that I could cry as many tears as I have. Brendan's tears keep asking why heaven needed you so soon when we had plans to be with you in July for his birthday... 

I will never let your grandchildren, Brendan, Julia and Mia forget you. I will keep you immortal in the stories I will tell them of you.

I will miss your daily phone calls inquiring what I was eating and what I was cooking. The way you would clog up my voice mail and talk to it like I could hear you. I will miss your uncontrolled laughter when you thought something was funny. I couldn't help but laugh with you. I will miss all the nicknames you called me. I finally have you here with me in my heart but my heart is broken. 

I will remember the many times you told me, that what brought you back from Viet Nam was my diaper pin that you wore in your hat for good luck.
