Dear Lynn worked with us at Comsewogue School District and was always considered a friend. In later years we tried to keep in touch through letters and emails.

It is so sad that she passed so young.

My deepest condolences to the family and friends who are dealing with her loss.

My sincere condolences to Lynn’s family and friends. While growing up on Montclair St., the Robbins were like a second family to me. I would spend at lot (and I mean a lot!) of time at their house and Lynn would always make me feel welcomed. I will never forget those days. Lynn will always have a special place in my heart because of her  kindness and generosity towards me. She was like that with everyone. I will miss her dearly.

Of all the many blessing, however great or small, to have had you for a sister was the greatest gift of all. We shared many laughs and many tears but sisters we will always remain. The family chain is broken now and nothing seems the same, but as GOD takes us one by one the chain will link again.

GOODBYE, MY FRIEND
How do you package 68 years of friendship?  I have known  you, “Lynnie”, since I was five years old, and it is with so much sorrow that I say goodbye.  I hope everyone will remember you as I do…a fun-loving, mischievous soul who lit up our lives like a Christmas tree. I remember bike riding, ice cream trucks, and visits to the candy store on Hicksville Road and sleigh riding in the sump on wintry days and nights.   I remember the word “nunu’s” (of all things) and cracking up every time we said it.  Such silly nonsense made us laugh.    I remember  calling you Samantha on “Bewitched” cause you were so damn cute. I remember you and I dancing to “Let’s Dance”, in my room and shaking the walls and floor. I remember the first cigarettes we smoked and how sick we got on Seaman’s Neck Road.  I remember going to Sunday School at St. John’s and swimming in the family pool.  I remember when your cousins came over, and your Mom always put out a spread of cold cuts and salads for lunch.  We used to eat Potato Salad on Rye Bread with potato chips.  I remember the birth of Lorraine and John and how as the oldest you were called on to look after them. I remember the party at Iris’s where we brought in beer (probably the worst thing we ever did in our teens),  and Jimmy Robinson sung, his now signature song.   Wonderful  Days. Childhood memories are the most wondrous things with people you love.   I saw your children grow up in spite of our busy schedules and delayed visits. Some way we always managed to be there for each other in times of need.   Now, here we are saying goodbye.   I thank her family for always keeping me posted in your later years.  My regret dear girl is that maybe I didn’t speak to you enough, and, of course, that I couldn’t be there to hold your hand at your last rite of passage.  Clinging to the past, loving you, and my complete and total sympathy for the loss each of us is feeling.  Written with Love & Beautiful Memories, Jean

I have so many childhood memories of Lynn. She was always fun, loving and kind to the kids on Oasis Place and Montclair.   She was a great mother and friend to many.    Rest in Peace.   

Lynn (always Mrs Robbins to me) opened her house to everyone, for as long as I knew Robbie, which was since we were about 8 years old. She was a beautiful person, inside and out. Rachel felt welcomed and included by Mrs. Robbins from the first time she met her. She was a very kind, loving person to all of us kids. I am grateful to Mr. and Mrs. Robbins for bringing Robbie and Danny into this world.  They're both great guys who would do anything for their friends.  Rachel and I will really miss you Mrs. Robbins!!!

I attended high school with Lynn and Ralph. Island Trees Class of ‘67 in Levittown NY. I was Sharon Shanley during that time. Lynn was a beautiful young girl and very sweet. Lynn and I were on FB as friends for over 10 years. It’s so said that she passed but I know she is now resting in peace. My condolences to the Faulkner and Robbins families. 

She was always smiling.  Her smile was contagious. She was part of our close knit community.
