Martha Slappey Davis age 89 of New Port Richey died Thursday August 12, 2010 at her home. She was born February 14, 1921 in Phenix City, AL.She attended Smiths Station High school in Smith, Alabama. She moved to Miami, FL. in 1954 and then to New Port Richey, FL. in 1986. She loved to gamble and visited Biloxi, MS., the Hard Rock Cafe and Casino in Tampa, FL.and the SunCruz Casino boat in Port Richey, FL. She was an avid flower gardener and loved her dog Buster.
She is survived by her son Norman Davis, 2 daughters Wanda Middlebrook and Sheila Mazza.
4 Sisters; Mary Waren, Ginny Cannon, Betty Fuller, Barbara Brown and 3 Children; Wanda Middlebrook, Sheila Mazza, and Norman Astor Davis, Jr. and 7 Grandchildren; Deanna Summers, Wendy Fleming, Chris Goff, Jamie Goff, Corine Davis, Christopher Davis and Cheree Tobar and 13 Great Grandchildren; Krysten Goff, River Goff, Kaeleb Fleming, Ethan Fleming, Raven Goff, Blake Goff, Hannah Goff, Isis Goff, Nathan Davis, Cayden Davis, Cayla Davis, Katelyn Davis and Aiden Tobar.
Predeceased by Husband Norman Astor Davis, Parents William A. Slappey and Nannie Lou Slappey and Siblings Willie Louise Moore, William A. Slappey, Jr., Gene Slappey, Calvin Slappey.
