Mikey, I knew you since you were 11 years old. I still laugh when I think of Jamie, Joey, and I going to Your football game. I was so deeply saddened when i heard of mikey's passing. I only knew him for a short period of time while we worked together at u.m.a. but he certainly was a bright light that stood out amongst the masses. He always had a smile on his face and he genuinely cared about the well-being of others. I'm so sorry for your loss, but I hope you take comfort in knowing what an incredible young man your family raised. He was one of those rare few who just radiated love and positivity. He truly was magnetic. May God be with you in these hard times and may his beautiful life live on through you.

What I love most about your big, fun, ethnically loud clan is how you all share your love so freely. The family is so big that it goes beyond blood and takes in so many others from all walks of life. 
What this big beautiful family is going through now with the loss of Mikey is heartbreaking. Truly. Mikey was (and is!) such a bright light. A real character with a love of being silly and putting a smile on everyone's face. I feel so privileged to be connected to you all and especially to have known Mikey since he was a kid. He grew into such a handsome, sharp-dressed, fun-loving man. I can't believe he's gone. I'm so sorry you all have to go through this. It's unfair and not okay.  Sending you all love and I'll see you Friday as we celebrate his life and grieve together.

I keep looking at the cursor, trying to think of something to say to my beloved Dee family.  But I know there is nothing.  I will never forget Michael's beautiful smile and laugh.  The world was a better place because of him and I am blessed to have had him in my life.  Jamie, you are the most amazing woman and mother.  You have raised spectacular children.  Joey, I love you always Marazarella.  Lou, Ronnie and Nick (and Laurie, Renee and Robin) I was always envious of your nieces and nephews, wishing I had a family as close and as cool as yours.  Uncle Joey and Aunt Joanie I am forever thankful that you have brought your incredible family into my life.

Mikey- I will never forget all of the amazing times that I was able to spend with you and your family. I know that we haven't been as close in the last few years, but I loved you just the same. Our trips to the Yankees games, nights cooking at your house, holidays, our conversations way back when- about life and the future. You could always make me laugh. Your smile was infectious. You were a special soul. My thoughts are with your family and all of the people who loved you. I will miss you.

There are no words that can express how deeply saddened I am by this. I am praying for your entire family as well as mine.  You see, my nephew Mark has lost his best friend.... a friend close like a brother. A friend he saw and spoke to everyday of his life since he was 10. Mikey kept Marks spirit uplifted and was a positive light in his life. I will miss hearing Mikey call me Aunt Jodi, I always felt honored he loved me like an Aunt. He will truly be missed.
