Miriam was born on February 9, 1931, in New York City to the late Emilio and Antonia Toro.
Miriam was a very special lady with incredible gifts, and grew to become an Administrative Secretary for the Mayor of the City of Tampa.
Her hobbies included journaling, writing short stories, photography, and playing scrabble. She loved nature, sitting on the patio basking in the sun... music, activities, keeping busy and having fun.
Miriam won the favor of so many, and we will cherish her memory tenderly.
She was preceded in death by her loving, devoted husband of 56 years, Joseph Surey.
Miriam is survived by her daughter Christine Yanni, her son Joseph Surey Jr., and her daughter Linda Roscoe (Richard Roscoe); her granddaughters Heather Yanni, Ashley Schaech (Bobby Schaech), and Kimberly Evangelisti (Justin Evangelisti); and, her great grandson Bryson Davis.
