Nancy B Bourque

of New Port Richey, FL - Nancy was received to her eternal home in the arms of her Saviour on May 18, 2025 at the Trinity Rehab Center, Trinity, FL.

Born June 30, 1939 in Old Orchard Beach, ME to George and Marion (Lewis) Nemet.

Nancy left high school at the 12th grade to be married to her beloved husband, Girard "Roger" Bourque, Sr. Together they raised three sons: Girard "Jerry" Roger Bourque, Jr. (May Gao), Randy Lee Bourque, Sr (Becky Ray), and Dale Alan Bourque, Sr (Sue Bliss). Nancy's life was focused on the care of her family, church, and close friends, with her deepest devotion being her love for her Saviour, Jesus Christ, who provided her comfort and peace throughout her life, especially in her final days. Beyond her schooling years, she dedicated herself to caring of children and elderly, earning her CNA certification, becoming a medication nurse, and providing foster care.

A devoted member of Bible Baptist Church in New Port Richey, FL. Nancy served in various roles, including the choir and community outreach. Previously, at Grace Baptist Church in Portland, ME, she led the nursery, sang in the choir, and worked as a teacher's aide in the Christian school.

She enjoyed visiting shut-ins, ministering in local nursing homes, and participating in camp and bus ministries, as well as signing for the deaf ministry at Grace.

Nancy was preceded by two of her sisters: Thaxter Lagueux, Marion Plaude; and four brothers: Robert, Harold, George and Richard Nemet, and a grandson: Randy "Guy" Lee Bourque, Jr.

She is survived by her husband of 67 years: Girard "Roger" Bourque, Sr., their three sons, her sister: Marlene McPherson and many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

A visitation will be held at Bible Baptist Church, 6628 Cecelia Dr., New Port Richey, FL, on May 23, 2025, at 10 AM, followed by a service at 11 AM, officiated by Pastor Matt Stidham, with a fellowship to follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Nancy's name to Bible Baptist Church at the above address.
