

She was born on August 22, 1961, in St. Mary’s Parish, Antigua, to Shirley and John Erskine. She attended Johnson’s Point School and Jennings Secondary School. Over the years, she lived in Antigua, St. Thomas, and later in Florida, where she built a life rooted in determination and commitment to her family.
Sharon was a strong, hardworking woman who was deeply committed to providing for her family. She was known for being direct, strong-willed, and unwavering in her beliefs. While she could be tough, her love was evident in her actions, sacrifices, and presence in the lives of those she cared for. She had a love of singing and cooking and found joy in learning about the interests and routines of other cultures.
She also shared a meaningful bond with her longtime friend, Robert (Bobby) Joseph, who remained a devoted presence in her life, especially during her illness, offering steadfast support and care.
She is survived by her three children, Marcel (Joel) Joseph, Leah Henry Westervelt, and Robert Joseph; her grandchildren, Jace Joseph and Shane Westervelt; her mother, Shirley Erskine; her sisters, Rosemary, Yvette, Sandra, and Harriet; and her brothers, Augustine, Keith, and Trevor; along with many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and extended family members. Her strength and resilience will be remembered by all who knew her.
A Memorial Service will be held at Meadowlawn Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 4244 Madison Street, New Port Richey, FL 34652, US, on March 28, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.
A Reception will follow at Meadowlawn Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 4244 Madison Street, New Port Richey, FL 34652, US, on March 28, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm.
