Thelma Carson Viavoda, 89, entered into eternal rest on Sunday morning, June 8, 2025, at her daughter’s home in New Port Richey, Florida after a long battle with Alzheimer's. She was the wife of the late Mr. Vitalis Gerald Viavoda.
Born February 8, 1936, in Walterboro, South Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Harvey Carson, Sr. and the late Dorothy Benton Carson O’Quinn. Thelma was a loving mother and grandmother who lived a very quiet and reserved life. She was a retired Vice President of Operations for KFC of Columbia, South Carolina.
She is survived by her children: Terry Lynn Negron (Albe) of New Port Richey, Sherry Yvette Eisenhower (Henry Reyes) of New Port Richey, and Bruce Allen Drawdy Jr. (Michelle) of Spring Hill. Two siblings: Harvey Carson Jr. and Dorothy Mae Owens. 6 grandchildren: Tikisha, Bruce III, Jarrad, Christina, Ryan, and Tanner. 12 great-grandchildren: Mekhi, Tye, Sophia, Ryan II, Emilia, Taylor, Jeremy, Angie, Ethan, Ryan, Kaitlynne, and Makayla. 1 great great-grandchild: Raelynne.
Mrs. Viavoda's memorial/celebration of life will be private per her wishes.
