Thomas K. Blair, 97, passed away on September 3, 2011. Thomas was born in the North of England. When he was 16 he joined the Cunard Lines Cruise Ships and worked on The Queen of Elizabeth, The Queen Mary and The Queen of the Bermuda. After the war he worked between Bermuda and New York until the late 1950’s. After he retired he worked in New York at the St. Regis Hotel serving many famous celebrities with a few of them being Cary Grant and The Duke of Windsor. He worked there until the late 1970’s and opened his own restaurant, The Scoreboard Restaurant, on 34th Street, in New York City. He ran a successful restaurant until the late 1980’s. He retired to Florida moving to Seven Springs Golf and Country Club, in New Port Richey, Florida. Thomas kept busy with his love of golf and passion for cooking wonderful dinners. He is survived by his daughter Sandra (Roy) Smith of Woodstock, Ontario; son Scott (Joan) of Peachtree City, Georgia; grandchildren, Janice, Eric, Danny, Veronica and Mark (Donna); and 2 great-grandchildren Devon and Jasmine.
