To my dad , I look back on all the things you taught me, it seemed like you knew everything , all the way to the end you wanted to help me , so many times i would reject the help , but know i know how important is is to help your son , If i could only be half the person you were I would be happy I love you and thank you I was so lucky to have a dad that was always there for 51 years ,

Dear Aunt Elsie and Kevin,

We will treasure the memories we have of Bill.  We spent many fun times together over the years.  I remember the Rook card parties at Bill and Elsie's house, also the fun we had at all of those Green family Thanksgivings.  They were special times.  I know how much he loved his family and how proud he was of Sara and Logan.  Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this difficult time.

I ALWAYS looked forward to Mr. Green coming to our office..I will miss him, and miss Elsie coming through the door with him...He was greatly loved and cared for by our office..We miss him already...Tracey from Dr.Bayron's office.

We are sorry to hear of your loss.  I remember going down south deer hunting with Bill one year.  We were in Bill's van and he wanted me to drive.  I had only had my license a short time and the wind was blowing like crazy.  I was so nervous about driving, but Bill just kept talking to me and we arrived safely.  Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived.

So sorry to hear of Bill's passing. So glad I got to see him a year and a half ago. Sure loved him. What a great man. He is rejoicing with his Lord and telling stories to my Mom and Dad. Love, thoughts and prayers to you Elsie and Kevin.

Elsie, Kevin and family, we are so sorry to hear of Bills passing. But wow the angels are singing and he is too. Bill was a special person in my life growing up at Danville First Assembly. I am proud to say I knew him. Our loss is Heaven's gain.

Dear Elsie and Kevin,
I pray God's peace and comfort for you and your family during this very difficult time. Some of the memories I cherish most from my childhood are the Hootenanny(s) with Bill and everyone playing those wonderful Southern Gospel songs which now remind me of just a taste of Heaven! I imagine Bill is getting ready to sit down right now and play a tune for his Savior! Thank you for the memories and I will see you all in Heaven! I have great memories of Bill, growing up around him as a small child, teenager. He was so nice. And I always enjoyed the Family of God Singers. So sorry to hear of his passing, but I know he is rejoicing in Heaven with his creator, and Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. God Bless you Elsie.

Dear Elsie and Kevin,

You have been in our prayers since learning of Bill's Home-going on Saturday.

Bill could have been named, Barnabas, which means “encourager.”  So many memories I have of Bill are in this role.  He patterned his life after Jesus, “a man who sticks closer than a brother.”

I think of Bill as a musician.  Together, he with his vintage C. F. Martin guitar and a Honer harmonica in his mouth, and I, with my tenor banjo, we spent  untold numbers of hours together playing music.  He taught me so much.

Bill, without even thinking about such a roll, was a mentor .  He knew how to do so very many things.  He seemed to live life with the belief that, “If someone could do it, I should be able to do it too.”

Elsie, after talking to you by phone on Sunday, I went into the room which I use as my music practice space and played my banjo for an hour – all the time remembering Bill.  I miss him already and look forward to that great reunion on the other side.
