Albert served in the Marine Corps. He was a professional meat cutter for 50 years.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and, first wife, Anna (Simpson) Barton.
Albert is survived by his wife of 34 years, Genny (Mayes) Barton; daughter, Nola Cochran (Jeff), Lara Barton and Dona Gerard (Mike); son, Aaron Barton (Wendy Taggart-Barton); step-daughters, Denise Bell (Ruben) and Dawn O’Nan (Troy); six grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; seven siblings; and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at Alexander Newburgh Chapel, 5333 State Road 261, with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
