

He retired from Clarke Power Services. Bernie was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic church, was a member of their Men’s Club and was a Lector and Eucharistic Minister. He was also a charter member of the Knights of Columbus Council 8746. He loved the outdoors, working in his yard and garden. He especially loved spending time with his family.
Bernie is survived by his wife of 58 years, Erlene J. Gehlhausen; children, Annette Glaser (Greg), Jeff Gehlhausen (Carla), Kevin Gehlhausen (Brooke), Nick Gehlhausen, and Brian Gehlhausen (Tina); grandchildren, Ciara Knecht (Josh), Adrianne Glaser, Samantha Crawford (Ben), Nathan Gehlhausen (Mallory), Nicole Gehlhausen, Katelyn Gehlhausen, Zach Gehlhausen, Chelsey Gehlhausen, Hannah Gehlhausen, Lindsey Gehlhausen, Audrey Gehlhausen, Ike Gehlhausen, Eve Gehlhausen, Alex Gehlhausen and Liz Gehlhausen; 4 great-grandchildren, and siblings, Jim Gehlhausen (Shirley), Neil Gehlhausen (Carol), Sharon Brown (Jr), Dan Gehlhausen (Pat), Vernon Gehlhausen (Karen) and Paul Gehlhausen (Margaret).
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, February 7, 2022 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 625 Frame Road, with entombment in St. John Cemetery. Family and friends may visit Monday from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the church.
