

Bobby was a member of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church. He was employed by Alcoa for 42 years. His career began at the Rosiclare Alcoa Plant, he transferred to Warrick Operations in 1964. Bobby retired as a mechanic at the #2 Oil House. He collected coins and provided his children and grandchildren with sets dating back to their birth years. Bobby bowled in the Alcoa League and on the senior league at Arc Lanes. He was an avid bird hunter and enjoyed shooting clay and skeet. He was a Hadi Shriner and Mason. He loved going to Ellis Park with his buddies. Bobby was a devoted Cardinals fan, rarely missing a game.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his living wife of 44 years, Helen Bernice (Hobbs) Potts (1996); sisters, Ramona (Potts) Lanham, Myrna (Potts) Cowsert, Jeanette (Potts) Cornell; and great-granddaughter, Grace Laurin Wilson (2002).
Bobby is survived by his daughter, Carolyn Ann Wilson (Mike); son, Bobby Glen Potts (Marme) both of Newburgh; grandchildren, Michael Wayne Wilson (Shannon), Leslie Michelle Wilson, Bobbie Jo Fisher (companion, Charlie Downs), Douglas Montgomery Hall (Courtney) and Dakota Glen Potts (Britany); great-grandchildren, Mariah Leslie Wilson, Lennon Bernice Fisher, Silas Cruse, Noah Joseph Potts and Jaxson Ray Potts; brothers, Ronald Potts, Billy Potts; sisters, Melba (Potts) Cullum, Michele (Potts) Tenault; and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Dr. Best, Dr. D’Mello, Davita Dialysis, Dr. Cherakupalli and Gentiva Hospice Group for their care and compassion.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, August 22, 2015 at Alexander Newburgh Chapel officiated by Mark Collins with burial at Rose Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit 4-8 PM on Friday and 10:00 AM until service time on Saturday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Kidney Foundation.
