

He was a member of Eastside Christian Church. He was a veteran of the US Army, serving during WWII. Bernie managed the A&P Store for 40 years, he also worked for Spalding and Sons, Rivertown Meat Market, Campbell Soup Company and Newburgh Pharmacy. He was a 50-year Mason and a member of the Kiwanis Club in Bardstown, KY. Bernie was a Kentucky Colonel, and an avid fisherman and hunter. His family was his greatest joy; he loved spending time with his grandchildren and great granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by sisters Christine Stratton and Elizabeth Bowlen; and nephew Bob Roberts.
Bernie is survived by his wife, Kaye Stucker; sons, Dennis (Verla), Steve (Kathy), John (Sheilah), Mike (Becky); daughters, Janice Kinney (Harold), Tina Kuykendall (Lance); grandchildren, Stephanie Edmonson (Drew), Jennifer Kinney, Heather Kinney Turner (Richard), Brett Kuykendall (Emily), Brian Stucker, Paige Kuykendall, Eric, Jessica, John, Amy, and Shelby Stucker; and great granddaughter, Sophie Olivia Rose Turner.
Services will be 11 AM, Saturday, September 17, 2011, at Eastside Christian Church, 2001 Bayard Park Drive, Evansville, officiated by Dr. Linda Parker, with burial at Rose Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit Friday, 4-8 pm at Alexander Newburgh Chapel, 5333 State Road 261, Newburgh, IN.
