Carol S. Gentry Jenkins, 74, of Evansville, IN passed away Sunday, July 28, 2013, at Deaconess Gateway Hospital. She was born October 7, 1938, in Elberfeld, the daughter of the late Helen and Loren Gentry, sister of Gary Gentry of Texas and Linda Townsend of Evansville.
She retired from VNA in 2003 and was passionate about arts and crafts, animals, nature and being with family. Her hobbies were painting and crafting.
Carol was preceded in death by her daughter, Debra Rucker Daley in 2009; and her parents.
She is survived by her daughters, Susan Rucker Rideout of Evansville and Jerri Rucker Turney of Columbus, IN; son, James Wilkerson of California; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
