Charles F. Duffy

He attended Abundant Life Community Church. He retired from the U.S. Air Force after 21 years of service. He worked as the Director of Materials Management at St. Mary’s Medical Center, and retired after 25 years. He was President of the Snowbird Club in Destin, FL, and taught ballroom dancing with his wife for many years. He was an avid gardener; he walked daily, and enjoyed cooking for his family.

Charles was preceded in death by his brother, William Duffy; and his parents.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Clarice; daughters, Charlene Long (John) of Reston, VA, Cheryl Pleuss (Brian) of Newburgh; grandchildren, Lara, Matthew, Jared, Jessica; great grandchildren, Ethan, Chase, Alayna, Christian, Cohen, Charlie; sisters, Doris Halwes, Janice Cleveland; and brother, James Duffy.

Services will be 11:00 AM, Friday, October 28, 2011, at Alexander Newburgh Chapel, officiated by Rev. Kevin Kappler, with burial at Sunset Memorial Park. Friends may visit Thursday, from 4-8 PM Alexander Newburgh Funeral Home.
