David Owen Holmes III, 28, of Evansville, IN passed away Friday, June 7, 2019. He was born in Evansville, IN on March 18, 1991 to David Holmes II and Jill Heuer.
He worked at Sugar Steel for the past few years. Davie was a kind hearted person who loved his family and friends. He enjoyed the outdoors and often visited Garden of the Gods. Davie enjoyed fire spinning, reading, fitness and weight lifting. His favorite times were spent with his brothers, family, and his dog, Peanut.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Ruth Ann Maier.
Davie is survived by his father, David Owen Holmes II; mother, Jill Heuer (John); brothers, Derrick Holmes, James Heuer; grandmother, Mary Earlene Dugas; grandfathers, David Owen Holmes I (Marsha) and Marvin Maier; aunts, Mary Miller (Scott), Gina Kiefer (Bob); uncle, Ritchie Maier (Annette); nephew, Weston Holmes; niece, Aurora Holmes; and several cousins and friends.
Funeral Services will be held 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at Alexander Newburgh Chapel. Friends may visit 1:00 p.m. until service time on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Accent on Christ Recovery Program, 509 S. Kentucky Avenue, Evansville, IN 47714.
