

He graduated from Reitz High School in 1962. Don married Delores Seebode in 1965, and together they had two daughters, Shanna and Shelly. He went on to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, which he earned from Purdue University in 1967. Don began his career in pharmacy at Haag Pharmacy and Plaza Pharmacy in Newburgh. He later worked alongside his brother, Bill, for 18 years at Warrick Pharmacy, from which he eventually retired. Don was a talented woodworker, known for creating beautiful furniture, and he enjoyed snow skiing in Colorado. One of his greatest joys was attending his granddaughters’ volleyball games. In 1993, Don met his longtime partner, Lou Ann, while line dancing. They loved traveling together, as well as spending time with their families.
Donald is survived by his daughters, Shanna Kopshever and Shelly Evans (Rodney); partner, Lou Ann Fisher; grandchildren, Olivia Evans and Katie Kopshever, and brothers, Bill Voegel and Bob Voegel (Debbie) as well as nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Clarence Voegel and sister-in-law, Kathy Voegel.
A Memorial Service will be 12:00 p.m., Saturday, January 24, 2026 at Alexander Newburgh Chapel, 5333 State Road 261. Family and friends may visit Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
