Everett Ray Bowen

He attended Newburgh High School and was a US Navy veteran. Everett retired after 30 years employment with Alcoa. He was a member of American Legion Post #44 and Thunderbolt Pass golf club. He was an avid golfer and soft ball player. He was a fan of IU basketball, Atlanta Braves baseball, the Indianapolis Colts and the Miami Dolphins.

Everett was preceded in death by his brothers, Bobby, Floyd and Harold Bowen; sisters, Elnora Jones, Paulene Striegel and Myrtle Gardner, and companion, Rita Lee.

He is survived by his children, Natalie Vickers, Tim Bowen, Kevin Bowen and Sherri Bowen; grandchildren, Mark Vickers, Michelle Mounlio, Kyle Bowen, Kraig Bowen and Cole Bowen; six great-grandchildren (one more on the way), and siblings, Beverly Ward (GA), Larry Bowen (Linda), Donna Winsett, Terry Bowen (Kelly) and Clarence Bowen (Gayle).

A Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, August 19, 2021 at Alexander Newburgh Chapel, 5333 State Road 261, with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Military rites will be performed graveside by Kapperman Post #44.
