Geraldine "Gerry" Miller

She spent many years managing restaurants including the “Farmer’s Daughter” and Newburgh “Burger Farm,” but her true love was running an in-home day care center. She loved getting to know and taking care of several generations of kids. The family would like to acknowledge one of those children that she cared for and who grew up to be “one of the family.” Jennifer Wilber was there any time Geraldine needed her and her support and love helped Geraldine in so many ways. The family would also like to thank the nurses and aids of the ICU unit and 6th floor of St Mary’s Medical Center. Their dedication and support through Geraldine’s final days were very much appreciated.

Geraldine was preceded in death by Buff Scott, Sr. (father), Maude Hatfield Scott (mother), Bobbie Scott (brother), Helen Scott Hunt (sister), Mary Scott Hatfield (sister), Naomi Scott Cunningham (sister) and Virgil Lee Miller (son).

She is survived by Shelby Scott Standard (sister), Timothy Titus Scott (brother), Buff Scott Jr. (brother), Glenna Miller (daughter in-law), Scott Miller (son), Ronda Miller (daughter in-law), Tim Miller (son), Debbie Miller (daughter in-law); grandsons, Jarrod (Mary), Justin (Kala) and Payton (Jennie) Miller; granddaughters, Hannah Miller and Stephanie (Rob) Almond; great-grandchildren, Lilly Miller, Ferris Miller and Kayla Almond.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, May 11, 2015, at Alexander Newburgh Chapel officiated by Rev. John Riley. Friends may visit Sunday, 2-4 pm at the funeral home.
