

Jim graduated Assumption High School in June 1957. He was married on November 5th, 1960 to Marianne (Brassier) Pearson. Jim worked and attended night classes earning his bachelor's degree in math from SIU-Edwardsville in May of 1965.
Jim was a member of the Order of the Knights of Columbus and attended St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Newburgh, IN.
Jim worked as a heavy industrial Project Manager and retired from Babcock & Wilcox in 2008.
Jim grew up an avid sports fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and St. Louis Browns baseball teams and was a young member of the legendary “Knot Hole Gang” during their years in St. Louis until 1953.
Jim loved nothing more than spending time with his family, watching his children and grandchildren grow up, and playing sports. You could always find him on the sidelines at every sporting event that he could attend for his children and grandchildren with a camera or video camera in his hand.
Jim truly loved his family, friends, and neighbors with all of his heart. He was selfless with his time and was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.
Jim was also preceded in death by his sister, Mary Halvachs.
He is survived by his wife, Marianne; his five children - Joe Pearson (Sherry), Chris Coudret (Phil), John Pearson (Juliane), Cathy Pearson, William Pearson (Jill); and his 10 grandchildren - Sarah, David, Ben, Sam, Nick, Frederick, Tom, Nora, Jessica, and Oliver; five great grandchildren - Bowie, Bauer, Palmer, Benjamen, and Josey.
A Funeral Mass will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 2, 2023 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Newburgh. Family and friends may visit Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the church.
The family would like to thank the caregivers at Woodmont Healthcare and Heart to Heart Hospice.
