Joseph "Pat" Heatherly

Joesph Patrick (Pat) Heatherly, 65, of Newburgh, IN passed away on Wednesday, February 19, 2025 at St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville, IN with family by his side. Pat was born on March 14, 1959, in Phoenix AZ to the late Jeanna and Bobby Heatherly.

He was a loving son, husband, brother, and uncle. He was married to the love of his life Cheyanne Heatherly. He moved to Oklahoma to be with her where they spent 15 loving years together until she passed of cancer. He then moved back home to Newburgh IN to be close to his sister, Colleen Johnson. He would give the shirt off his back to anyone. He had a heart a gold and sense a humor like no one. You could find Pat riding around town on his motorized wheelchair, probably going to the Dollar General, where he went multiple times a week. You couldn’t help but smile when you see him zooming down the road. He had a funny passion for ordering online he would get a package every day. He had a love for cars and his cat, Stevie.

He was preceded in death by his parents, beautiful wife, and sisters, Jean (Bobby) Heatherly, Cheyanne Heatherly, Holly Queen, and Kathy Adams.

Pat is survived by his son, Grayson Heatherly; sister, Colleen Johnson; brothers, Ben Heatherly and Drew Heatherly and several nieces, nephews and friends.

A Celebration of Life service will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, February 28, 2025 at Alexander Newburgh Chapel, 5333 State Road 261. Family and friends may visit Friday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
