

Ken was a navy veteran in World War II, retired from Peabody Coal Company as vice-president of operations Indiana Division. He was a member of VFW, Elks, Indiana Mining Association, on the board of Good Samaritan, and was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ. He attended one year at Indiana State Teacher’s College.
Ken is survived by his wife, Muriel May (Wolf) Kramer, son Ronald Kramer and wife Teresa Kramer, daughter- in law Nancy Kramer, grandson Justin Kramer, granddaughters Alicia Harris (Ryan), Ashley Powell (Brandon), Katie Schneider (Travis). He has four great grandchildren: Kai Harris, Quinn Harris, Madison Powell, and Blake Powell. Extended family includes Howard Watts, Brad Watts and children, Keely and Shea Cox and children.
Ken was preceded in death by his son Donald Kramer, sisters Madeline Kramer and Ruth Mitchell, Bob Mitchell, and niece Beth Watts.
Due to the national health crisis, the gathering and burial will be private for the immediate family only. A memorial service will be scheduled to celebrate his life at a later date.
