

Kenneth Wayne Lowe, 79, of Newburgh, passed away Thursday, February 9, 2017, at Deaconess VNA Plus Charlier Hospice Center in Evansville. He was born September 20, 1937, in Evansville, to the late Prentice and Agnes Lowe.
He was a 1955 graduate of Bosse High School. Kenny was a member of Mt. Olive General Baptist Church, serving as treasurer for the Mt. Olive Baptist Church Brotherhood for over 30 years. He retired from AT&T where he was a telecommunications technician. He was a lifetime member of National Campers and Hikers Association, and a local member of Chigger Diggers and Pleasure Way Camping Clubs.
Kenny was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Jerry Lowe.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Phyllis A. (Heldt) Lowe of Newburgh; daughters, Kathy Baker (Steve) of Newburgh, Cindy Russell (Alan) of Evansville; grandchildren, Kaitlin and Lauren Baker, both of Newburgh, Matt Anderson (Alyssa) and Ben Anderson (Casi), both of Evansville; and great-grandchildren, Sophia and Wyatt Anderson.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Monday, February 13, 2017, at Alexander Newburgh Chapel, officiated by Rev. Ken Slater, with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery at a later date. Friends may visit Sunday from 1:00 to 5:00 PM at the funeral home.
