

Kenneth Ray Maxey, 68, of Evansville, IN, passed away Tuesday, September 8, 2015, at The Heart Hospital at Deaconess Gateway in Newburgh, IN. He was born November 14, 1946, in Murphy, NC to the late Frank and Faye Maxey.
He was a U.S. Navy Veteran, serving in the Seabees during the Vietnam War. He retired from Century Aluminum. Ken loved fishing, hunting and drinking Bud Light with family and friends. His passion over the past few years was his granddaughter, Amelia, and the family vacations they took together. He enjoyed planning his veteran group reunions and taking on home projects for family and friends.
Ken was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Richard Maxey.
He is survived by his High School Sweetheart and wife of 47 years, Ricky Maxey of Evansville, IN; son, Kelly Ray Maxey (Erica) of Newburgh, IN; granddaughter, Amelia Rae Maxey; sister, Trisha Rogier (Bob) of Tell City, IN; and numerous loving family members.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 12, 2015, at Alexander Newburgh Chapel officiated by Rev. Zach Etienne with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit 5-9 PM on Friday and 9:00 until service time on Saturday at the funeral home.
