Larry J. Hessler

Larry Jean Hessler, 72, of Newburgh, IN, passed away Saturday, December 8, 2018, at Select Specialty Hospital. He was born May 28, 1946, in Evansville, IN, to the late Beuford Owen and Emma M. (Hart) Hessler. Larry was a Safety Director for Evansville Concrete Company. He had been a town Manager of Newburgh and a Newburgh Police Officer. He was an avid boater and had coached baseball. He was a member of the FOP, American Legion in NB, VFW #1114, and the Single Action Shooter Society “SASS.” Larry is survived by his wife of 52 years, Billie (Simmons) Hessler; sons, Greg Hessler (Kelley) of Jasper, IN, Brian Hessler (Lorie) of Evansville, IN; and Jason Hessler (Margie) of Westfield, IN; grandchildren, Connor, Abigail, and Jacob Hessler, Ayden, Abby, Ava and Alexander Hessler, and Owen, William, and Luke Hessler; brother, Beuford “Tootie” Hessler (Carolyn). Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 12, 2018, at Alexander Newburgh Chapel. Friends may visit Tuesday from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
