Lisa Gail Whelan

She had worked at Larry’s Stadium Inn and the Merry-Go-Round Restaurant. She currently worked as a Special Education Assistant at Glenwood Leadership Academy. Lisa was a member of the American Legion Kapperman Post #44 and past President of the Akin Park Association.

She was preceded in death by her father, L.W. Duvall.

Lisa is survived by her husband of 8 years, Joe Whelan of Newburgh; son, Bart Bitter (Kristen) of Newburgh; daughters, Jena Miller of Newburgh and Heather Pressley (Eric) of Chandler; grandchildren, Madison Hicks, Cassius and Stone Bitter, Gavin Miller, Donovan Pressley; mother, Wanda Duvall of Chandler; brother, Larry Duvall (Alice) of Darmstadt; sister, Pam Cook of Washington, IN; uncles, Paul Duvall, Clarence Duvall, Cooper Duvall; aunts, Betty Collier (Art) and Janice Collins; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:00 AM, on Friday, June 13, 2014, at Alexander Newburgh Chapel, officiated by Celebrant, Carrie Hatchett, with burial at Rose Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit Thursday, 3-8 PM, at the funeral home.
