She was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church where she enjoyed the Quilting Group, the Women’s Group, and served as Financial Secretary for many years. Mildred was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Friendship Chapter 32. She retired from G.E. in Owensboro. Her favorite hobby was quilting and she made quilts for all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening, flowers and traveling.
Mildred was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Byron T. Brown; and daughter, Darnell Ewing.
She is survived by son, Bryon “Smitty” Brown (Linda); daughter, Diana Campbell (Darrell); son, Carroll Brown; daughter, Natalie Lyle; 12 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held 12:00 PM, Monday, April 3, 2017, at Alexander Newburgh Chapel officiated by Rev. Danny Barr with burial in Sunset Memorial Park. Friends may visit 10:00 AM until service time on Monday at the funeral home.
