Monty Ray Freeman

Monty Ray Freeman, 66, of Elberfeld began his next great adventure on Monday, April 19, 2021. He was born March 26, 1955 in Evansville. He taught his children the art of fishing and the joy of listening to loud music. He was a proud “grandpopper” to his grandchildren, and his crazy antics and jokes will be missed by many. Monty was preceded in death by his father, George D. Freeman and in-laws, Teotirno and Genara DelaCruz. He leaves behind his loving wife, Leonila (DelaCruz) Freeman; mother Carolyn (Bolin) Freeman; children, Lynyrd Freeman (Brittney) and Genie Heldt (Stephen); grandchildren, Aydyn, Aysa, Briyley and Braelyn Freeman and Cash, Cruz and Chase Heldt, and siblings, Donald Freeman (Karen), Ronda Keethers (Joseph) and Daryl Freeman. A Funeral Service will be 3:00 p.m., Monday, April 26, 2021 at Alexander Newburgh Chapel, 5333 State Road 261.
