

She was an avid photographer, golfer, nature lover, and reader. She was an advocate for the humane treatment of animals, and particularly loved “the kids” Rocky, Sam and Lucy. She was a Registered Nurse for over 40 years, working at Welborn, Wishard, Deaconess Cross Pointe, and several clinics in Indianapolis. Priscilla enjoyed being with her grandchildren and was always able to communicate with young children with spirit and heart.
She was preceded in death by her father, Leigh Gisvold; and step-father, Richard Stevens, Sr.
Priscilla is survived by her husband of 18 years, J. Patrick Dunbar of Newburgh; son, Brett (Tera) Ausbrooks of Tempe, AZ; grandson, R. C. Ausbrooks; mother, Ruth Stevens of Boonville; step-daughters, Tiffany Dunbar of Zionsville, IN, and Danielle (Ben) Bryan of Elizabethtown, KY; step-grandchildren, Grace, Carson and Preston Gadd, Sam, Molly Claire, and Max Bryan; brother, Reid Gisvold of Greenville, WI; niece, Cami Gisvold; and step-brothers, Richard “Steve”, Jeffrey (Kim), and Jed Stevens of Boonville; and step-nieces.
Special thanks to Dr. Edward Fox and the entire staff, especially the nurses, of Oncology Hematology Associates. Also, the nurses of Deaconess Hospital, Deaconess Home Care, Deaconess Hospice, the Dean Bosler’s Furniture family and all the special and caring friends who spent countless hours tending to Priscilla’s needs and wishes.
Services will be 10:00 AM, Tuesday, August 28, 2012, at Alexander Newburgh Chapel, officiated by Father Kenneth Herr, with burial at Rose Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit Monday, 4-8 PM, at Alexander Newburgh Chapel.
Memorial contributions may be made to Warrick or Vanderburgh Humane Society, or Evansville Rescue Mission.
