Ronald Wesley Mossberger

He retired from Alcoa. He had attended Memorial Baptist Church. Ron was a member and Permanent Director of Tri-State Ski Club, the NRA and Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation. He enjoyed snow skiing and snowboarding. Ron loved fishing, elk hunting and farming. Ron was an avid runner and a member of the Greater Evansville Runners’ Club. He loved to “cut the rug” on the dance floor.

Ron was preceded in death by his brother, Melvin Mossberger; sisters, Betty Brown, Karen Scott, Darlene Young; and former wife, Rosalie Melin.

He is survived by daughter, Valerie Mossberger Clark (Matthew) of Newburgh; son, Brian W. Mossberger of Newburgh; daughter, Lisa Mossberger-Willey (Thomas) of Indianapolis; son, James Spencer Mossberger (Laura) of Vancouver, WA; companion, Janet Doyle; grandchildren, Kelsey Howlett (Michele Ignoto), Trevor Howlett; brothers, Robert Mossberger (Marilyn), David Mossberger (Ida Lou), Jerry Mossberger (Brenda); sisters, Cinda Hale (Walter), LaVerne O’Neal; brothers-in-law, Louis Brown, Benny Scott; sister-in-law, Judy Mossberger.

Funeral services will be held 12:00 PM, Thursday, August 20, 2015, at Alexander Newburgh Chapel officiated by Celebrant, Carrie Hatchett with burial in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit 2-8 PM on Wednesday and 10:00 AM until service time on Thursday at the funeral home.
