Sarah Ann Reese

She was born February 8, 1935, in Winslow, Indiana, to Charles and Genevie Hurst. She was a graduate of Winslow High School and Western Illinois University, where she earned Academic Honors. Sarah was a life-long Christian and a member of First Christian Church. Her faith in God sustained her throughout her life. After Jerry’s retirement, they enjoyed traveling, golf, and most of all spending time with children and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 56 years, Jerry; and her father and mother, Charles and Genevie Hurst.

Sarah is survived by her sons, Rick (Lori) of Rushville, Illinois, and Randy (Kris) of Newburgh, Indiana; grandchildren, Ryan, Noah, and Rylee; sister, Eleanor Bottorff (Ken); and nephews, Mike Bottorff (Ashley) and Mark Bottorff.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 17, 2017, at Alexander Newburgh Chapel officiated by Rev. Robert Williams with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery in Winslow, Indiana. Friends may visit from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
