

Born August 1, 1970, Scott was a proud U.S. Army veteran who served in Operation Desert Shield, Desert Storm and Somalia. His awards included the Southeast Asia Service Medal with Bronze Service Star, National Defense Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, Expert Badge (Grenade), and Sharpshooter Badge (Rifle). He loved riding motorcycles, fishing and took pride in completing a hard day’s work. He had a magnetic personality, loved telling jokes and making people laugh. Scott graduated from South Spencer High School class of 1989.
He is survived by his sons, Scott Niswonger Jr. (Larissa) and Kyle Niswonger; grandchildren, Jasmine, Kairi and Liam; stepmother, Trish Niswonger; brother, Derek Niswonger; sister, Stephanie Burgard (Shannon Lewis) and favorite companion, Runt.
He was preceded in death by his son, Josh; parents, Steve and Debbie Niswonger and grandparents, Carl and Alice Murphy and Oliver and Betty Niswonger.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Alexander Memorial Park Cemetery, 2200 Mesker Park Dr., Evansville, IN.
