Obituario de Shannon Marie (Robertson) Geary
Shannon Marie (Robertson) Geary, 40, of Newburgh, IN went to her Heavenly Home on Wednesday, July 24, 2019. When Shannon was born to Janet and David Robertson on July 7, 1979, the nurses were so taken with the tiny baby girl with the snow-white hair that they asked if they could borrow her to show other new mothers how to bathe their newborns. As she grew from a feisty little girl into a strong, amazing woman, “Sissy” became ever more beautiful, both inside and out. Shannon attended Hebron, and later John H. Castle Elementary School. She graduated from Castle High School in 1998. Shannon worked at Schnuck’s Grocery Store and was a court stenographer, and later worked at Mead Johnson Nutrition until the birth of her first child. The loves of Shannon’s life were her children, Trent and Avery, and she thoroughly enjoyed being their stay-at-home mom. She spent countless hours making crafts with them when they were small, and later loved coaching their basketball and soccer teams. She was very proud of the kind, loving, intelligent people they have become. On the birthday of her dear “Uncle Heady,” Shannon joined him and other family members in the beautiful presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. In addition to Edward Robertson, she was predeceased by her grandparents, Margaret and Bernard Robertson; grandmother, Anna Jacqueline Wilson; aunt, Bernarrdean Pike; uncles, David Pike, John Stephens, and Michael, Joseph and Christopher Jacobs; and her cousin, Audra Rose Brown. Shannon leaves to forever cherish her memory her son, Trenton Joseph; daughter, Avery Anna Geary; her parents; brother, Aaron David Robertson; fiancé, Steven Bayer, best friend, Rachel Gene; uncles, Gerard and Phillip Jacobs; aunts, LeeAnn Jacobs, Geralyn Baker, Gloria Viviano, Brenda Stephens, Jane Robertson; and many cousins and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 29, 2019 at St. Rupert Catholic Church, 1244 Red Brush Road, Newburgh officiated by Father Ted Tempel with burial in St. Rupert Catholic Cemetery. Friends may visit 2-6 p.m. Sunday at Alexander Newburgh Chapel, 5333 State Road 261, Newburgh, with a 5:00 p.m. Memorial Service, and 9:00 a.m. until service time on Monday at the church.
