She and her husband lived in Chandler, IN after he returned from serviced in WWII. She moved to Tallahassee after the death of her husband in 1987 and later relocated to Heritage Park Care in Bradenton.
Sylvia was preceded in death by husband, Wesley Kenneth Cannon.
She is survived by sons, Ron (Cathy) of Bradenton, FL and Kenneth Eugene (Sue) of Tallahassee, FL; sister, Marjorie Reynolds of Fort Branch, IN; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be 10:00 AM Thursday, July 21, 2011, at Alexander Newburgh Chapel, with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
