

Timothy Claspell, 58, of Newburgh, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, March 10, 2015, at St. Mary’s Medical Center. He was born December 5, 1956, in Evansville, to Orrie L. and Ruth (Doneghue) Claspell, Sr.
He attended grade school at Holy Spirit and St. Benedict Catholic schools and graduated from Reitz Memorial High School in 1976, where he participated in football and track. He was a general contractor for 30 years and owned Claspell Home Improvements. He loved spending time with his daughter, Megan, coaching her in t-ball and basketball, as well as family vacations to Destin, Florida. He was an avid disco dancer and instructor in the 70’s and 80’s.
Timothy is preceded in death by his father Orrie; grandparents; and grandchildren, Brandt, Krislyn, and Jaden Bailey.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Jennifer; daughter, Megan; stepchildren, Andrea Bailey, Chris Bailey and Brandi Gladden; mother, Ruth Claspell; grandchildren, Evan, Austin, Lindsey, Logan, Brandon, and Kaden; brothers, Greg (Nancy), Lee (Carol), and Brian Claspell; sister, Tammie (Ernest) Bivens; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and beloved dogs, Kitty and Isabella.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, March 14, 2015, at St. Benedict Cathedral, 1320 Lincoln Avenue, Evansville, officiated by Fr. Godfrey Mullen, OSB, with burial in St. John Catholic Cemetery in Newburgh. Friends may visit Friday from 3:00 to 8:00 PM at Alexander Newburgh Chapel, 5333 State Road 261, Newburgh.
