Wayne retired after a successful career as a business owner, having owned and operated several. He enjoyed playing the guitar, had a passion for classic cars, and loved fishing, the outdoors, and traveling. He also shared his knowledge by teaching martial arts. Above all, Wayne cherished time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Danny Watters.
Wayne is survived by his spouse, Sylvia Watters; children, Kawn Watters (Amanda), Kiersten Mays (Ray) and Kip Diekmann; grandchildren, Brylie DeSena (Hunter), Blake Diekmann, Aidan Watters, Ava Watters, Hannah Gardner (Grant), Courtney Henning (Zach) and Kayley Stone; great grandchildren, Truett DeSena, Harrison Henning and Nora Henning, and sister, Patti Taylor (Paul).
A Celebration of Life visitation will be held Friday, May 1, 2026 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Alexander Newburgh Chapel, 5333 State Road 261.
