William "Mike" McGee

William “Mike” McGee, 75, of Evansville, passed away on Thursday, February 20, 2025. He was born on August 2, 1949 in Evansville, IN to the late William Clarence and Ruth Elizabeth (Hollingsworth) McGee.

Mike enjoyed spending time with his daughters and grandsons. He had a passion for working on Chevy vehicles, partying with his daughters, reviving old equipment with his son-in law, tending to his yard, and shooting sports. Mike was well known in the community through his many years of working as a Mechanic at Knapp's Service Center. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him!

He was preceded in death by his sisters, Judy Robey, Becky Smith and Kathy Miller all of Evansville, IN.

Mike is survived by his wife of 58 years, Peggy (Hargis) McGee of Newburgh, IN; daughter, Lori Cook and her husband Kevin of Ellijay, Ga; grandsons, Zac and Nic Cook both of Pittsburgh, PA, grandson, Steven Todd and his wife Kristen of Jasper, GA; great grandson, Hunter Todd of Jasper, GA; and daughter, Susan Ball and her husband, Rick of Kingsport, TN; grandson, Quinton Noffsinger and his wife, Savannah of Chandler, IN.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at Alexander Newburgh Chapel, 5333 State Road 261, Newburgh, IN, officiated by Pastor Fritz Kaufman, with burial in Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation will be on Tuesday, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
