Anastasia Platipodis

Beloved wife of 48 years to the late Gust Platipodis, loving mother to Dennis (Mary) Platipodis and George (Jennifer) Platipodis; adored Yia Yia of Alyssa and Denny Platipodis. Treasured daughter of Katerina and Andreas Koroneu and dear sister of the late George Koroneu, the late Chris Koroneu and the late Nictarios Koroneu.

Cooking and baking were incredible passions of Anastasia’s. Nothing matched her amazing, authentic Greek cooking. If you ever visited her, you’d never leave hungry. She was full of love and life.

She will be sorely missed by many relatives in her hometown of Filiatra, Messinia and her friends here who knew and loved her.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, February 16th from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Blake Lamb Funeral Home, 4727 W. 103rd Street in Oak Lawn, IL. Funeral service Monday, February 17th at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, 10301 South Kolmar Ave, Oak Lawn. Visitation at 9:00 am followed by a service at 9:30 a.m. Interment Evergreen Park, IL. May her memory be eternal.
