Barbara Ruby, beloved daughter of the late Charles W. Ruby, Peggy L. nee O’Neil; loving sister of Dr. Jack (Carolyn) Ruby; cherished auntie of Dr. Brian (Pam), Brett (Wendy), Blain, Jaime (Scott), Laura (Robert), and the late Michael Ruby; dear great auntie to Max, Nicholas, Alexis, Kyleigh, Christian, Caleb, Michael, Juliet, Jack and Quinn. Started her 40 year career in 1972 at Palos Hospital as the Blood Bank Supervisor with renowned certifications MT BB ASCP and member of the AABB (American Association of Blood Bank).
Visitation Monday, December 12, from 3-8pm at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home (4727 West 103rd Oak Lawn) Prayer services Tuesday December 13 at 10:30am at Blake-Lamb. Mass of Christian Burial will be at Sacred Heart Church at 11:30am (8245 W 111 St. Palos Hills) Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery (6001 W 111th St Alsip). In lieu of flowers, donations to Alzheimer’s Association appreciated (act.alz.org).
