

Che Malcolm Miles, 53, of Chicago, IL unexpectedly passed from natural causes on the morning of May 25, 2023. He was born on August 29, 1969 in Cook County, IL to Farley B. Miles II, and Carmelita Miles (Tayborn).
In September 1997, Che swore into the Chicago Police Department and served for over 25 years as an officer. Che married Justina Sifuentes,52, on May 24, 1998. Che celebrated his 25th wedding anniversary with his wife the day before his passing.
Che had an appreciation for the arts that came with a deep love for many genres of music. He loves to host jam sessions and play bongos in his backyard (tropics). Ever expanding his repertoire of talents, he took his eye for detail, and started his own photography business in 2009. Alongside his artistic practices, he enjoyed spending time being active in nature and cooking for friends and family. He planned, nurtured and cared for his home garden, enjoyed extensive bike rides along the lakefront, and fried the best chicken you’ve ever tasted.
Che will be inexplicably missed by his beautiful wife, children, close family and friends. He will be remembered for his warm laugh, his eclectic taste in music, his love for life and his culinary skills.
He is preceded in death by his father, Farley B. Miles II., brother Farley Miles Ill., and sister, Michelle Miles.
He is survived by his Mother, Carmelita Miles; his mother like cousin, Carolyn Rose Scribner; his wife, Justina Sifuentes; his son, Che Malcolm Miles II, 30; children through marriage, Curtis Sifuentes, 35, Charity Sifuentes, 32, Natalia Yarbrough, 30, and Nathaniel Yarbrough, 27; two granddaughters, Kaelah Jackson and Skye Hamilton. Brothers; Levi Omar McKissack, James McKissack, Brother-in-law, Pablo Sifuentes (Jessica); Sister-in-law, Amanda Sifuentes and his nephews, Farley Miles IV, Nicholas Sifuentes, Gary Sifuentes, Alan Sifuentes, Andrew Boyd, Shawn Sifuentes, and Hunter Messiah, his nieces Cynthia Miles, Alyssa Mathews, and Juliah Messiah; loving aunts; Leigh Stewart, and Joyce Tayborn; and cousins by the dozens and a large family of friends.
Friends and family will gather for a memorial visitation for Che that will be held Saturday, June 17th, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 4727 West 103rd Street, Oak Lawn, Illinois 60453, followed by a memorial service at 1:00 PM.
