

Debra E. Corrigan, 72, was born on November 19, 1953, and passed away peacefully on April 9, 2026. She will be remembered as a woman of honesty, warmth, and humor, whose steady presence and bright spirit brought comfort and joy to those around her.
Debra made her home in Burr Ridge with her beloved husband, Robert. She was a proud graduate of Ball State University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree before continuing on to complete her master’s—an accomplishment that reflected her dedication and love of learning.
Family was at the heart of Debra’s life. She is lovingly survived by her husband, Robert Corrigan; her son, Ryan Corrigan; her sister, Cindy Elser; and her cherished nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Irvin and Lena, whose memory remained close to her heart.
Debra found happiness in life’s simple and meaningful moments. She had a special gift for bringing beauty and joy into everyday life—whether through her floral design, baking Christmas cookies, or decorating for the holidays. These traditions became treasured experiences that she shared with those she loved most.
She will be fondly remembered for her genuine sense of humor, her kind heart, and the deep love she had for her family. Debra’s legacy lives on in the laughter she shared, the traditions she created, and the lasting impact she made on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
