Evette “Evie” M. Williams
Evette Marie Williams affectionately known as Evie was born September 8, 1965 to Ondria T. Williams and Randolph Williams Jr. from the early age of seven she accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior and was baptized at Hopeful Missionary Baptist Church. Later in life she became a devout member of the Apostolic Church of God in Chicago, Illinois. Evette received her early education at Bryn Marr Elementary and Saint Ambrose Catholic School she later graduated from South Shore High School with honors. She was a gifted and intelligent woman and the majority of her career was spent building a successful art gallery. Evette used most of her free time volunteering and helping others with various disabilities through the Rehab Institute of Chicago and the Multiple Sclerosis Society. She was a giving soul until her transition on February 5, 2016. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Mary Elizabeth Williams and Rivious Williams Jackson; paternal grandparents Randolph Williams Sr. and Catherine Williams; aunt Cathy Williams; two uncles Clinton Williams and Colston Williams; brother Randolph Williams III and cousin Lori Williams. Evette will be greatly missed by all who she knew and loved. Precious memories will be cherished by her loving mother and Father; daughter Turquoise Hatchett; granddaughter Yasmin Ameen; two sisters Sabrina Annette Qualls and Erica Monique Williams; three uncles Walter Williams Sr., Prince A. Collins Jr.(Lily B. Collins), Joseph R. Williams; two aunts Geraldine Williams and Gayle Sanders(Arthur Sanders) and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, family friends, colleagues and special friends Mijosha Moore and Traci Tyler.
