In Loving Memory of Gladys Collins

Gladys Collins, born Gladys Sabrosky on August 7, 1926, in Killdeer, North Dakota, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of strength, love, and devotion to family. She was the daughter of Ted and Mary Sabrosky, both of Russian descent, and the beloved sister of Ellen and Alvin.

Raised as a farm girl, Gladys carried with her a lifelong work ethic and resilience. She later moved to Chicago, Illinois, where she attended Gregg College and earned her degree in bookkeeping.

Gladys met the love of her life, Sidney Collins, and they were married in 1950. Together, they built a beautiful life and raised two sons, Raymond and Terry (Paula). Her family continued to grow, blessing her with grandchildren: Fawn (Chris), Tiffany (Steve) , Alexis (Joshua), and Max (Kari), and great-grandchildren: Sydnee (Joe) and Travis and Caine. She was also a proud great-great-grandmother to Olivia and Amelia.

Gladys dedicated 55+ years of her life to the Leinweber Company, where she worked in accounting. Her commitment and pride in her work were evident to all who knew her.

She had a deep passion for gardening. Even into her nineties, she could be found tending to her vegetable garden—tilling, planting, and nurturing it with care. She believed in living a healthy, active life and led by example through her energy and determination.

Above all, Gladys cherished her family. She found her greatest joy in time spent together, sharing stories, laughter, and her famous cookies and cranberry pudding. Her love was unwavering and returned tenfold by those who knew her.

Though she will be deeply missed, Gladys leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and values that will continue to live on through her family for generations to come.
