John Callaghan

John W. Callaghan, age 90, of Chicago, Illinois passed away on Wednesday, June 29, 2022. John was born September 3, 1931. Beloved husband of the late Eileen Callaghan; John was a proud parishioner and usher of St. Christina Catholic Church for over 55 years. He enjoyed traveling, cycling, and spending time with his grandchildren.

John will be lovingly remembered by his children Jean Marie (Jim) Quigley, Kevin (Maura) Callaghan, and Moira (Mark) Rakowski. His grandchildren Megan Quigley, Lauren Quigley, and Declan Callaghan. His siblings MaryAnn (Jerry) O'Reily, Edward (the late Eileen) Callaghan, Barbara (Steve) Lascola, Charles (Marie) Callaghan, and Karen Sue (the late Mike) Ferguson; and his dear girlfriend Fran Clausius; as well as many nieces and nephews.

A visitation for John will be held Thursday, July 7, 2022 from 4:00pm until 8:00pm at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 4727 West 103rd Street, Oak Lawn. With a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 9:30am on Friday at St. Christina Catholic Church, 3342 W 111th St, Chicago. Interment at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery, 2755 W. 111th Street, Chicago, IL 60655.

In lieu of flowers, John's family requests that donations be made in his name to the Special Olympics.
