Karla Harkness

Karla Nichole Harkness, age 50, of Chicago, Illinois passed away on Saturday, March 5, 2022. Karla was born February 3, 1972. Daughter of Torrey Gage Sr. and the late Margaret Gage (nee Sica); Beloved wife of William Kowal; Loving mother to Connor (Hannah) Harkness, and Step-mother of Amelia Kowal, Jeanni Kowal, Katrina Kowal, and Cassandra (Jeff) Schabell; Grandmother of Devin, Maya, Brian, Andrew, Violet, Dylan, and Layla; Dear sister of Kimberly Gage, Kirsten Stastny and Torrey Gage Jr., Aunt to many nieces and nephews; Devoted fur-baby mom of Kitty, Kitten and the late Boadi.

Karla worked as a Paramedic with the Chicago Fire Department for 5 years.

A visitation for Karla will be held Thursday, March 10, 2022 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 4727 West 103rd Street, Oak Lawn, IL 60453. A Mass of Christian burial will occur Friday, March 11, 2022 at 10:00 AM at St. John Fisher Catholic Church, 10234 S. Washtenaw Ave, Chicago, IL 60655. Interment to follow at St. Casmir Catholic Cemetery, 4401 W. 111th Street, Chicago, IL 60655.
