Linford A Sutherland

Linford Aston Sutherland was born to Walter Sutherland and Sarah Ewers on March 14, 1931 in Manchester, Jamaica. He was a loving husband to the late Keitha Sutherland, wife of 43 years, who had preceded him in death on September 1, 2007, a proud and wonderful Dad to their three children, Neil, Trevor, and Errol, and beloved brother of Delores. He was blessed to see three grandchildren, Caleb, Jasmine, and Grayson born to his son Trevor, and spent the last twelve years of his life near them all as their cherished grandpa. Linford passed away peacefully on July 14, 2022.

He lived a rich and bountiful life, leaving Jamaica to continue his education and achieving a Master's Degree in Business from Western Michigan University in 1961. Marrying in 1964, and starting a family in Chicago, IL, he worked for over 25 years as an accountant, eventually achieving the title of Controller. Along the way Linford indulged in his other passion, Real Estate, using his wit and ingenuity to give his family a better life. Linford (Suthie to those that grew up with him) will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Visitation Monday, July 25th 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 4727 W. 103rd St., Oak Lawn, Illinois.
