With faith in God’s eternal promise, we celebrate and remember the life of Patricia Pawloski, affectionately known as Pat, who was born on March 17, 1936, in the loving union of Brice and Ruby Rogers. Pat was the youngest of Brice and Ruby’s eight children. She was preceded in death by her parents, Brice and Ruby Davis (formerly Rogers), and all of her beloved siblings: Thelma, Velma, Ruby (Babe), James (Bud), Ann, Elizabeth (Betty or Bet), and Arthur (Art).
A woman of deep faith, determination, and joy, Pat lived life fully and with purpose. As a youth, she was a member of St. Malachi Church, where her Catholic faith was nurtured and remained a guiding force throughout her life.
In her first union to Lee Henry Stancle, Pat was blessed with two children, Leslie (Kandye) and Constance (Connie), with Connie preceding her in death. Her devotion as a mother was constant and unwavering, and she carried those same values of love, strength, and faith throughout her life. Pat later entered into a second marriage with Stephen J. Pawloski, with whom she shared more than 30 years of devoted matrimony before his passing. As a widow, Pat continued to lead with grace and resilience, and her legacy lives on through her family and the values she instilled in all who knew her.
Pat was dedicated to education and personal achievement. In 1966, she proudly graduated from Alexander’s Beauty School, earning her cosmetology license. Later, she embarked on a second career as a professional driver, serving her community with pride and responsibility. She drove school buses for Art’s Transportation, the suburban public transit system P.A.C.E., as well as coach buses for Neil’s Transportation. Pat was known for her reliability, strong work ethic, and commitment to excellence in every role she undertook.
Above all else, Pat was an extraordinary grandmother. She was lovingly devoted to her granddaughter, Cikea Mason, whom she affectionately called Keke, and who called her Gran Gran or Mama. She also cherished her great-grandsons, Darius Mason and Dyce Mason, who lovingly knew her as Granny. Her presence in their lives was a source of love, wisdom, laughter, and unwavering support.
Pat truly enjoyed life. She loved traveling, fishing, bowling, and spending time gossiping with friends and neighbors, but nothing brought her greater joy than being surrounded by family. Whatever goal she set for herself, she pursued with dedication, confidence, and determination—leaving a lasting example of resilience and grace.
Pat leaves behind her daughter, Leslie; granddaughter, Cikea; great-grandsons, Darius and Dyce; and a host of nieces and nephews.
God called Patricia home with her immediate family by her side on the beautiful, sunny morning of January 29, 2026.
Though we gather today without a body viewing, we do so with grateful hearts—celebrating a life well lived and trusting that Patricia now rests peacefully in God’s eternal care. As Scripture reminds us: “Well done, good and faithful servant.” (Matthew 25:21)
