Richard Henry Christiansen, age 85, passed away on December 16, 2021. Dick known to most, was not an idle man. When he wasn’t going for a walk, he could be found at the library, at the American Legion or lending a helping hand to his family or friends. He was the first to offer a ride, support, leg work or research and many took him up on that! One of his great interests was volunteering as a lobbyist in Springfield for AARP. Dick was a persuasive conversationalist and that skill came in handy with the Illinois politicians.
Beloved father of Karen Anderson, Laura Christiansen, and Richard (Dora) Christiansen; Cherished grandfather of Christopher Carlson, Maggie Anderson, Savannah Christiansen, and Richard Christiansen III; Richard’s memory will be cherished by many other relatives and friends.
Memorial Visitation is scheduled for 10 AM – 12 PM on Saturday, January 15, at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 4727 W 103rd, Oak Lawn. A Memorial Service will take place at 12 PM directly following the visitation at the Funeral Home. Interment private.
